WHAT CAUSES BODY ODOR?

You probably notice body odor most when you’re sweating. Your body has two main types of sweat glands — eccrine and apocrine — that release fluid (sweat) onto your skin’s surface when you’re hot. Sweat serves an important purpose. As perspiration evaporates, it cools your body temperature.

Eccrine glands are all over your body. Apocrine glands are in areas like your armpits and groin. They produce a thicker, milky fluid.

Sweat itself doesn’t have a smell. The odor happens when bacteria meet the perspiration your apocrine glands release.

Sweating and body odor are caused by sweat glands in your body. The two main types of sweat glands are eccrine glands and apocrine glands. Eccrine glands occur over most of your body and open directly onto the surface of the skin. When your body temperature rises, these glands release fluids that cool your body as they evaporate.

HOW DOES FULLY CARE UNDERARM AND FOOT WASH HELP WITH ODOR ELIMINATION? IN ESSENCE, HOW DOES THIS PRODUCT WORK?

As we know, sweat itself doesn't have a smell. Body odor comes from the bacteria that live on sweaty parts of your body, like your armpits. When you sweat, these bacteria break down certain proteins in your sweat into acids, causing an odor.

Usually, the #1 recommendation to get rid of body odor is to shower at least once a day. However, showering alone may not be the solution for those with serious body odor. If regular showers don't seem to help to battle strong odor, that’s where a special antibacterial cleanser like Fully Care comes into play. Ensuring odor causing bacteria is eliminated for good. The active natural ingredient of apple cider vinegar in Fully Skin Care is the solution to bacteria elimination and built-up. This is due to Apple cider vinegar antibacterial properties that can help to kill the bacteria that cause body odor.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF APPLE CIDER VINEGAR (ACV) AS AN INGREDIENT IN YOUR PRODUCTS?

First and foremost, ACV neutralizes odor causing bacteria. ACV contains acetic acid, which has powerful antibacterial properties that help neutralize the bacteria that cause smelly underarms. By directly targeting these odor-causing bacteria, apple cider vinegar can help reduce unpleasant smells.

In addition, ACV helps balance your skin’s oil production, which can help decrease excessive sweat in the underarm area, which causes a stink. By reducing excessive sweat, you are less likely to experience body odor caused by the bacteria that thrive in damp environments.

Apple cider vinegar can be a great alternative to chemical-laden deodorants, giving you long-lasting freshness without the worry of exposure to potentially harmful ingredients. ACV is natural, eco-friendly, and less likely to trigger allergies compared to regular deodorants.

DOES APPLE CIDER VINEGAR HELP WITH ARMPIT ODOR?

Apple cider vinegar is acidic and contains compounds like acetic acid and malic acid, which are known for their antibacterial properties.

This makes it a popular choice among those looking to reduce body odor naturally without using harsh chemicals or fragrances.

Plus, apple cider vinegar helps keep bacteria in check due to its acidic nature, potentially reducing smelly sweat buildup in the armpits over time.

DO FULLY UNDERARM AND FOOT WASHES CONTROL SWEAT?

The underarm and foot wash are not meant to be left in the body; they are meant to be rinsed away. And while the lingering effect of ACV may help keep bacteria in check and prevent odor causing bacteria from building up, it is not intended to prevent sweating. In addition, washes are aluminum-free, therefore they are not an antiperspirant. Sweating is natural and necessary, but it doesn’t have to lead to body odor! While Fully products contain ingredients that help control body odor, it does not prevent perspiration. Many customers find using a deodorant and Fully underarm and foot wash as a winning combination for them. Others find that moisture doesn't bother them much as long as they have all-day odor protection.

EXPERIENCING RASH OR IRRITATION?

Reactions to Fully underarm and foot washes are very rare, however, anytime we put a product on our skin, it can reveal sensitivities to an ingredient. If you do develop a rash or irritation, we recommend stop using the product immediately.

CAN I USE FULLY PRODUCTS AFTER SHAVING, WAXING, OR HAIR REMOVAL?

We do not recommend using Fully products on skin that is irritated or broken, which can happen after shaving, waxing or any type of hair removal. If you have any irritation after any type of hair removal, we recommend waiting for the skin to calm down before using our products.

I AM EXPERIENCING BREAKTHROUGH ODOR?

The body is very hormonal and the balance and/or number of hormones not only varies by individual, but also day by day. If you are experiencing a breakthrough odor, a hormonal change in your body could be the reason. If this is the case, continue to use Fully and your body odor should be under control in no time (time depend on the individual, but we say give it 4-15 days).

Another cause could be clothes that you haven’t worn since using Fully and these have odor-causing bacteria that get stuck in the fibers of the clothes. First and foremost, if the cause is the clothing (tops/socks/shoes), we recommend getting rid of it (I know it’s hard to get rid of your favorite shirt) or making sure to wash item very well to eliminate as much odor causing bacteria as possible.

CAN WEARING CERTAIN FABRICS CONTRIBUTE TO BODY ODOR?

Yes, wearing certain fabrics can contribute to body odor. Synthetic materials like polyester and nylon trap heat and moisture close to the skin, creating a warm environment that encourages bacterial growth and unpleasant smells.

Cotton is naturally absorbent and breathable, which helps wick sweat away from the body, so it doesn’t linger. Sweat is odorless, but bacteria love to feed on it, which creates an unpleasant smell. Fabrics that are blended with natural fibers such as linen or wool also allow more air flow around the body, which helps prevent sweat from building up on the skin’s surface.

Wearing clothing made of natural material will help reduce the risk of developing body odors caused by trapped sweat and bacteria buildup.

WILL FULLY UNDERARM WASH HELP WITH CLEARING MY UNDERARM AREA?

The main purpose of Fully underarm wash is to prevent odor. Although, both the underarm wash and foot wash contain ingredients (such as coconut oil) that may help with clearing skin, it is not intended as a skin clearing agent.
